The netdevil or greedy seadevil is a type of leftvent deep sea anglerfish. They live at a depth of around 7,750 m (5,700 ft) and grow to a length of 8.3 cm (3.3 in). The larger female anglerfish uses a bioluminescent lure to attract prey. The tiny male latches onto the female and fuses onto her and lives much like a parasite. Over time the male's organs atrophy until all that is left is the gonad.
